Greenline's hybrid motor is referred to as a "Parallel Hybrid System" Reduced to its basics, a parallel hybrid system uses both the diesel engine and an electric motor to power the same propeller shaft. The inline electric motor and diesel are fully integrated into one power plant. This allows you to enjoy silent cruising in electric mode at speeds up to 7 knots or switch to diesel mode for high speed and fast charging of the batteries. Electric mode eliminates slow speed hours that are hard on the diesel while saving fuel and reducing maintenance intervals. The Yanmar 4LV 250 HP diesel is coupled to a 25 kW electric motor/generator that charges at 14 kW in diesel mode. The hybrid system supplies continuous 120 volt power to all onboard systems. A full battery charge can be accomplished in only an hour and a half in diesel mode. The Lithium Ion propulsion batteries are 48 volts each and 11 kilowatt capacity x 2. This means you can operate in electric mode up to a 30+-mile range. All major electrical components are Victron - Quatro Automatic inverter/charger, 48V / 70A / 3000 Watts. Victron 12/75 charger and Victron NPPT solar controller. The hybrid system is monitored by a dedicated  7" Simrad display with battery monitor and custom graphics.

4 x Photovoltaic solar panels integrated into the top of the coachroof, 1200 Watts (approx. 10 amps each at 12 volts) This supports the batteries while on anchor without the need for a noisy generator. The lithium batteries and solar roof will support the air conditioning without a generator running which means you can enjoy peace and quiet.
